AWARDS
The Washington University Gary M. Sumers Recreation Center project won the Society for College and University Planning Merit Award in the Excellence in Architecture for Building Additions or Adaptive Reuse category. Bohlin Cywinski Jackson was the architect of record and Hastings+Chivetta was the associate architect for the facility.
Two rescue teams from Doe Run Co. earned high honors at competitive mine rescue contests. The Gray Team won first place in three different competitions at the Northern Regional Mine Rescue Contest. The Maroon Team also received high honors at the Southeast Regional Mine Rescue Contest.

Bacon of St. Louis University School of Medicine; Dr. Jaquelyn Fleckenstein of Washington University Medical School; Alyce Herndon, director of Grace Hill Women’s Business Center; Prosperity Connection; attorneys Julie Berkowitz and Cole O. Combs; the Capes Sokol law firm; Shannon D. Peters, an associate at Husch Blackwell LLP; St. Louis Alderman Terry Kennedy; and Chris Nagus of KMOV (Channel 4).

Schnuck Markets Inc. and its customers and vendors donated $1.1 million to the Folds of Honor Foundation through a six-week Round Up at the Register campaign to provide scholarships to the spouses and children of veterans.
