Sabrina Neff Named Chair of ABA Consumer Financial Services Committee

News Releases

National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce partner Sabrina Neff will chair the Consumer Financial Services Committee of the American Bar Association, effective September 2024.

The Consumer Financial Services Committee provides a forum for professional development and relationship building; meaningful engagement with regulators, consumer advocates, and industry lawyers and thought leadership. In her role as the Committee chair, Neff will promote and advance the consumer financial services practice of law, while also advocating for the creation of clear, meaningful, and consistent law.

“Sabrina is a stand-out litigator and a natural leader,” said Sverre Roang, leader of Husch Blackwell’s Financial Services & Capital Markets industry group. “Heartfelt congratulations to Sabrina for this well-earned leadership role—I am eager to see how she positively affects the practice of consumer financial services law.”

Based in Houston, Neff becomes the latest Husch Blackwell attorney to serve in a leadership role in the Business Law Section. Most recently, partner Chris Rockers served as section chair in 2019-2020.

Neff focuses her practice on consumer and commercial financial services litigation. She represents lenders and servicers in both state and federal court, defending against suits brought by consumers and asserting creditors’ rights in commercial default litigation.

The announcement was made on April 5 during the Consumer Financial Services Committee Leadership Meeting as part of the 2024 ABA Business Law Spring Meeting.
