Overview

As a corporate real estate attorney, Will helps clients create tangible results from visionary ideas.

Will guides regional and national clients in both public-private partnerships (P3) and commercial real estate financing, acquisitions, sales and leasing. Negotiating and drafting complex transactions, he collaborates across a wide variety of sectors. He counsels stakeholders in all phases of project development, representing municipalities as well as those in financing and construction.

Prior experience in litigation – from case inception to resolution, including issues on appeal – informs Will’s assistance to real estate clients. This includes proactively identifying where deals go wrong. He understands that everyone comes to the real estate table with different goals and he facilitates transactions that work across the board. Seeing a cooperative end product where all parties benefit is what Will finds most rewarding about real estate matters.

Outside the Office

Will’s free time is mostly spent with family.

Will is the third of eight close siblings, most of them making their homes in the Kansas City area. A new Nulton generation is beginning, and Will likes that his children will be attending the same school as their cousins. Will enjoys hosting his parents, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and in-laws on weekends and cooking big meals – Kansas City barbecue in the summer months.

Community Leadership

Will devotes much of his time outside the office to improving his community, especially through volunteering in his parish and for the Bright Futures Fund, which provides quality Catholic education to the underserved in Kansas City.
