Tracey counsels clients globally on renewable energy projects, from design to operation. Tracey first became involved in renewable energy projects and greenhouse gas emission reduction matters because she is passionate about creating a sustainable world. Clients appreciate her tenacity in negotiating agreements, protecting their interests and quickly resolving conflicts. Her experience includes drafting leases, land purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, financing agreements, purchase orders, EPCs, MIPAs, PPAs, construction contracts, vendor contracts and asset purchase agreements, as well as uses her mediation skills to resolve conflicts that arise during construction through commercial operation. Previously, Tracey was General Counsel at a greenhouse emissions reductions project development and trading company.

  • Evaluated viability of solar energy and landfill methane projects in Northeast and Southeast.
  • Analyzed current and pending amendments to domestic and international regulations, protocols, guidance and precedents applicable to business and interacted with regulators to interpret or obtain changes to rules.
  • Developed internal corporate programs related to climate change for international organizations and assessed compliance with such programs. Conducted due diligence related to manufacturing and energy projects worldwide and drafted and negotiated agreements relating to construction and operation of carbon-reducing projects and energy projects.
Outside the Office

Tracey, her four children and their three dogs enjoy skiing and hiking in Utah. Having lived for five years in Costa Rica, the family has a special connection to the rain forests, the ocean and the importance of taking care of the environment.

Tracey mediates cases at her local county courthouse on a pro bono basis. As the mother of a child with special needs, she is also passionate about developing programs for kids with disabilities, to ensure such students are challenged to their greatest ability
