Stacey is a land planner who has worked in the legal profession as a paralegal and in other roles for more than 30 years, primarily in the areas of real estate and corporate law.
Stacey assists with all aspects of the firm’s real estate law practice, with an emphasis on zoning, permitting and land use planning. She also assists with commercial, residential and multifamily acquisition and sale transactions, including due diligence review, preparation of purchase and sale agreements, title and survey reviews and closings.
Stacey’s work experience includes:
- Conducting initial research of properties, including zoning, permitted uses and related ordinances.
- Preparing applications for zoning, change of use, site plan exemptions and other land use documents for submission to the City of Austin.
- Coordinating and attending meetings with neighborhood associations.
- Monitoring meetings of the Austin City Council, Zoning and Platting Commission, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment and Zero Waste Advisory Commission.
- Coordinating drone flyovers of properties, including onsite research and photography.
- Researching state and local governmental regulations on land use matters.
- Preparing critical-dates charts and closing checklists.
- Drafting purchase and sale agreements, amendments, deeds, leases, subordinations, tenant estoppels, financing statements and other real estate documents.
- Recording real estate documents with city, state and county agencies.
- Preparing, filing and obtaining organizational documents for corporations, LLCs and LPs.
- Conducting lien searches and preparing and filing UCC financing statements.
- Researching county record databases.
