Scott focuses on business and financial services litigation, including securities, banking, fiduciary litigation and commercial insurance. His experience encompasses numerous jury trials, bench trials and appeals in state and federal courts.
A member of the Missouri Senate, Scott serves on the Judiciary Committee and Ways and Means Committee, among others. He served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2011-2012.
Scott has advised Missouri-based securities broker dealers in industry, trading and regulatory cases. He has also represented both small businesses and multi-national corporations in securities derivative and class action litigation.
He has brought numerous actions against those who fail to repay money borrowed from the Small Business Administration. Scott also advises businesses concerning insurance coverage matters and has substantial experience in coverage and subrogation cases involving seven- and eight-figure losses.
Before joining Husch Blackwell, Scott served in the Missouri Office of Attorney General, where he defended against appeals by convicted criminals and worked on several special prosecutions.
