Robin advises clients on matters related to employee benefits and healthcare regulatory compliance. She has experience counseling clients on how to navigate data privacy and security requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as healthcare fraud and abuse issues under the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law. She also guides clients in establishing and maintaining health and welfare benefit programs for employees subject to ERISA and Affordable Care Act requirements.
During law school, Robin clerked in the legal department of a pediatric research hospital, where she drafted and reviewed hospital policies and procedures in the areas of informed consent, HIPAA compliance and research practices. Prior to law school, she worked for a national long-term care corporation and interned with a U.S. congressman, where she researched healthcare legislation and policy.
