Overview

A corporate transactional attorney, Robert helps businesses accomplish goals.

Robert had always seen law as a field filled with opportunities for a fulfilling career spent helping others. He liked the idea of working hand in hand with clients to accomplish business goals. Corporate transactions, where businesses come together to achieve a common goal, sounded like a perfect fit.

Robert assists clients of all sizes in a variety of industries with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and secured transactions. He also has experience with corporate governance matters, and he aims to provide legal advice that takes into account business needs.

Prior to joining the firm as a full associate, Robert served as a Husch Blackwell summer associate assisting with corporate governance, transactional matters and real estate law. He also clerked with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee over the summer of 2020. With the office shrunk down and in-person hearings and trials significantly reduced, Robert had extensive opportunities to work closely with Chief Judge Rucker and gain insight into judicial thinking. In addition, Robert has also interned at United Bank, where he observed the underwriting process, portfolio management and commercial lending practices. The experience helps him understand the practical end of corporate transactions.

Clients value Robert’s dedication to walking them through details and his genuine interest in their businesses. His goal is to serve as a sounding board who’s always available for clients and whose business judgement is as solid as his legal acumen.
