For nearly 40 years, Bob has represented institutional investors, developers and lenders in a wide variety of transactional matters, primarily involving real estate and energy.

Since 1995, he has focused a significant part of his practice on complex transactions, including project development and finance transactions.

Bob’s work has involved the acquisition and disposition of undeveloped land and improved properties; development of office, multifamily, retail and warehouse projects; construction of commercial projects, including resolution of construction disputes; management of pre-development and pre-acquisition due diligence for both real estate and electric-generating projects; electric-generation facility development, acquisition and finance; assisting with the financing of development activities and acquisitions, including equity investments; and developing complex business strategies, including financial restructurings.

  • Assisted with the development of a complex structure to allow sale and financing of an environmentally impacted retail development in Houston, Texas.
  • Completed acquisition of a $380 million portfolio consisting of 14 office buildings (equaling 3 million square feet), 14 tracts of land, two multifamily projects, oil and gas interests, partnership interests (including an interest in the Dallas Mavericks), and a construction equipment leasing company.
  • Completed acquisition of Desert Mountain, an 8,000-acre residential land development in Scottsdale, Ariz., including country club and five golf courses.
  • Completed acquisition of the 1.5 million-square-foot Prestonwood Mall in Dallas, Texas.
  • Structured severance and acquisition of air rights for office facility in Dallas, Texas.
  • Managed the development and financing of 1,220-megawatt combined-cycle electric-generating facility in Pittsburg County, Okla.
  • Managed the development and financing of 845-megawatt combined-cycle electric-generating facility in Rusk County, Texas.
  • Managed financing of a 632-megawatt coal-fired electric-generating facility in the Victoria and Goliad Counties of Texas.
