Overview

Monica sees law as a service.

Monica chose to pursue a career in the legal industry for the simple reason that she likes helping people. Falling in love with private wealth was an equally straightforward process: it was a direct way to help clients and their families. Monica aims to ensure that clients don’t have to worry about the future or how their families will be provided for, and she values knowing that bereaved relatives won’t struggle with wealth transfer legal issues.

As a paralegal on the firm’s private wealth team, Monica works directly with clients and their estate plans. Her responsibilities include preparing gift tax returns, estate tax returns and fiduciary tax returns; performing trust accounting; and handling probate administration. She has extensive experience drafting estate planning documents.

In addition to her estate planning work, Monica also has experience with white collar defense and tax controversy litigation, as well as with business formation and general corporate work. She has drafted pleadings, assisted in trial preparation and conducted legal research, including performing forensic accounting work.

Monica is known as a responsive, helpful professional who is always seeking to make matters easier for clients. She aims to serve as a liaison between families and attorneys, ensuring that clients fully understand the options presented to them and have all their questions answered.
