A member of Husch Blackwell’s Real Estate, Development & Construction team, Maureen concentrates her practice on advising clients on the acquisition, development, financing, operation and disposition of industrial and retail properties, mixed-use developments and master-planned communities. She provides practical legal solutions that serve the business objectives and manage the legal risks of the client.
At Husch Blackwell, Maureen specializes in representing self-storage clients in the acquisition of self-storage facilities. She routinely represents one of the largest publicly traded self-storage REITs on its acquisitions.
Before joining Husch Blackwell, Maureen worked extensively in both the public and private sectors. She served for several years as in-house counsel at the University of New Mexico, representing the university in real estate matters that included significant development projects involving public-private partnerships. Maureen also worked in-house on general corporate legal matters for a private real estate investment and management company. She represented the company in the acquisitions, dispositions, refinances and leasing matters involved with its national portfolio of 135 buildings spanning 15.9 million square feet of office and retail space in 22 states. In addition, Maureen served as Assistant Attorney General for State of Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia.
