Overview

With a reputation for dedication and commitment to cases, Maureen represents clients in product liability and mass tort litigation, as well as product regulatory compliance matters.

Maureen’s practice includes extensive work with multi-district litigation teams, assisting with nationwide dockets for alleged chemical exposure, including benzene, asbestos, and herbicides. She also represents both manufacturers and distributors in traditional product liability litigation, involving claims of product malfunction as well as trucking and transportation matters. Maureen has served on multiple trial teams in both state and federal court, preparing cases up to the eve of trial and gaining comprehensive experience with discovery and motion practice. She is particularly experienced at consulting with and preparing expert witnesses.

Alongside her litigation work, Maureen devotes a significant portion of her practice to guiding clients through the regulatory requirements established by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), as well as similar state laws. She assists with the drafting of product labels, warnings, and instruction manuals, advising clients on both format and substantive content; guides clients through product safety claims investigations; and advises on CPSC reporting requirements. Maureen also coordinates with international counsel to assist clients with labels and warnings for products sold overseas.

Prior to pursuing a legal career, Maureen worked in social work, which fostered her commitment to client needs and her ability to develop and execute complex plans in high pressure situations Maureen brings this same investment to legal matters. She’s known for her detailed investigative work, dedication, and proficiency at problem solving.

Clients also appreciate the breadth of her practice: Maureen’s litigation experience makes her a better regulatory attorney, helping her proactively identify problems that may lead to litigation later, while her regulatory knowledge helps her build a solid case in clients’ defense.
