A successful employment law practice requires knowing the law and understanding human nature and interactions. Mary enjoys both.

Her employment experience ranges from matters of recruiting and hiring, to training and managing difficult situations, to consulting on terminations. She regularly deals with issues of alleged discrimination, noncompete and labor. Mary brings to her practice a range of previous experience in business transactions.

An experienced litigator, Mary is prepared to defend clients in court, frequently representing employers in arbitrations and class action lawsuits. She has obtained dozens of favorable results in trials and arbitrations. Her goal, however, is to avoid litigation. She views herself as a business partner focusing on the law so that her clients can focus on their business. Many of her clients are healthcare organizations, and she strives to prevent legal issues from interfering with the delivery of patient care.

Mary has served in a number of management roles at the firm, including as managing partner of the Denver office and on the firmwide Executive Board.
