Maria focuses her practice on corporate law.

She has experience working with administrative law and electric utility, telecommunications, and water and sewer utilities regulations. In addition, she is familiar with the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Prior to her time with the firm, Maria worked with the Public Utility Commission of Texas. While there, she performed legal research and analysis, as well as proposing sale, transfer and merger transactions for water and electric utilities in the state. Additionally, she helped develop commission policy in connection with more than 16 different rule making projects.
