In addition to privacy counsel, Malia provides merger and acquisition support on data privacy and security issues, including conducting due diligence and advising on purchase agreement reps and warranties.

Malia’s background as a business development professional – particularly her e-commerce marketing experience – is appreciated by clients. Having worked at a subsidiary owned by the online auction website eBay provides Malia with first-hand knowledge of how data flows. She has valued insight into the business and privacy concerns of e-commerce clients, such as online advertising, cookies and tracking.
