A passion for persuasion drives Maddy’s love for the law.
As the daughter of an ER doctor and ER nurse, Maddy might have naturally pursued a career in healthcare. She completed three years of biomedical research as an undergrad, which led to an understanding of the various ways the law intersects with science and policy. But she saw her future interests more focused on the pursuit of persuasive writing and decided she would become an attorney.
Maddy naturally became interested in healthcare litigation as she studied law. She also saw the law as a pathway to bring real change to various institutions, such as the healthcare system, where her passions for both people and policy could work together to bring about real change. The opportunity to work on the large spectrum of possible assignments in the commercial litigation group holds particular appeal for Maddy, as she enjoys learning of the array of opportunities available to help clients in all stages of litigation.
