Overview

Lauren knows how to make persuasive arguments in litigation and has extended her areas of interest to include commercial law, product liability and contract disputes.

Lauren was an active member of the Domestic Violence Clinic at Tulane University Law School, which represented clients in several important cases in Louisiana State Court involving child support, divorce and domestic violence. She drafted and filed an emergency motion, which was granted by the judge, to prevent child custody to a person who had a strong history of domestic abuse.

Lauren served as a litigator in moot court proceedings in her law school, and won enough competitions to represent her school at a prestigious international competition in Oxford, England.

She further honed her skills as a summer associate at the firm and through internships with the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights and U.S. District Court, Eastern, District of Tennessee, and as well as a law clerk in Tulane’s Legal Assistance Program.

Outside the Office

Lauren enjoys travelling to new locales both in the United States and abroad with her favorite travel partner – her husband, Cole.

To date, Lauren and Cole have visited England, France, Sweden, Switzerland and Iceland. During their adventures, Lauren loves to visit museums, walk, bike or hike, but she particularly enjoys sampling the local wines.

Most recently, the couple spent a week in the Bourgogne Region of France, which is home to some of the oldest and most famous vineyards and vintages. Lauren hopes to expand her wine knowledge over the coming years, eventually becoming a certified wine expert.

In addition to travelling, Lauren is a serious exercise enthusiast. She especially enjoys exploring the hundreds of miles of trails surrounding the Chattanooga area through long trail runs.
