Laura helps clients achieve the resolutions that best fit their business needs.
Laura focuses the majority of her practice on complex corporate litigation. An award-winning litigator and devoted client advocate, she has represented clients in state and federal court, during mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, and throughout the appellate process.
Known for her rapport with clients, Laura aims to serve clients as a true counselor and business consultant. She works to understand their business needs and goals, as well as their aims in any litigation. Laura has a strong reputation for her ability to resolve disputes before they reach the courtroom, working closely with clients to proactively solve problems. She always ensures that any litigation strategy pursued fits with client goals and client interests.
While she handles a wide range of corporate and business disputes, Laura has a particular focus on labor and employment matters. She has handled Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state agency investigations, Title VII and Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) claims, and allegations of wage and hour violations. She also provides preventative counsel to clients designed to help them draft policies and put processes in place to avoid litigation.
Alongside her work as a litigator, Laura also devotes a portion of her practice to healthcare regulatory compliance counseling. As a law student, she earned a certification in health law and has practiced consistently in the area throughout her career. While her previous experience includes counseling medical facilities and other providers, Laura’s current focus is regulatory advice for corporate clients needing assistance in the healthcare space. She regularly works with corporations seeking to ensure that employee benefit packages are in line with relevant healthcare laws, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rules, fraud and abuse laws, and other state and federal regulations.
