Clients rely on Landon for regulatory guidance on transactional and litigation matters.

Having worked at the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), Landon now helps energy market participants navigate complex regulatory requirements. He works on a broad range of wind and solar project transactions – drafting, reviewing and negotiating interconnection agreements and obtaining necessary regulatory approvals from state agencies and applicable market authorities.

Additionally, Landon represents clients in contested regulatory matters before the PUCT.

  • Lead counsel in an electric rate case where the utility sought a $117M rate increase.
  • Lead counsel in a wholesale rate appeal contesting the allocation of a $257M revenue requirement.
  • Represented an electric utility in a breach of warranty claim against a utility pole manufacturer.
  • Lead counsel in numerous electric and water certificate of convenience and necessity applications.
  • Lead counsel in a dispute between an electric cooperative and a municipality regarding the authority to regulate substation placement.
Outside the Office

Landon is an avid outdoorsman.

Landon stays busy with four very young sons. His family enjoys outdoor activities, such as camping and canoeing. He also participates in the Texas Water Safari, a 260-mile canoe race from San Marcos to the Gulf Coast that’s been held annually in June since 1963.
