Kat sees the practice of law as an opportunity to help clients.

As a law student, she became interested in labor and employment law and complex matters that occur in the workplace. Kat assists clients in navigating issues that arise in employer-employee relationships. A natural problem-solver, she works to make these relationships beneficial, collaborative ones that allow clients to focus on their business and customers.

When collaboration is not an option, Kat is a passionate advocate for clients. She has assisted in representing clients in arbitrations and litigation, and she has experience in state and federal court and with federal agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Having previously worked with labor organizations, Kat has experience advising clients on compliance with federal laws (National Labor Relations Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII), collective bargaining, contract administration, grievance handling and strategic planning.
