Julie is a paralegal who concentrates her work in the areas of trademarks, copyrights and intellectual property litigation.

Julie assists attorneys and clients with U.S. and international trademark and copyright registrations. She also has experience with patent, copyright and trademark infringement litigation in state and federal courts.

Her representative work experience includes:

  • Performing preliminary trademark searches.
  • Preparing and filing trademark applications and related documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and foreign trademark offices.
  • Preparing and filing all documents required for U.S. prosecution of pending trademark applications and post-registration trademark matters, including assignments, responses to office actions, extensions of time, renewal applications, statements of use and declarations of use.
  • Preparing and filing documents with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board for opposition and cancellation proceedings.
  • Assisting in all facets of foreign registration and post-registration trademark processes.
  • Researching information concerning potential trademark and copyright infringers/infringements to assist in litigation evaluations.
  • Corresponding with clients on proper use and maintenance of trademarks and copyrights.
  • Maintaining individual client trademark and copyright portfolios.
  • Preparing and filing copyright applications and related documents with the U.S. Copyright Office.
  • Corresponding with clients and foreign associates regarding actions required on clients’ behalf to obtain and maintain copyright and trademark rights.
  • Preparing and filing necessary pleadings throughout litigation proceedings, including notices, motions, stipulations and affidavits.
