Jon supports estate planning and business succession needs for clients in the food and agribusiness industries.

As a former English student, Jon simply loves documents and document preparation and was drawn to paralegal work for its drafting and filing needs. He’s also an avid problem solver who enjoys working out puzzles, which made estate planning an especially good fit: Jon is passionate about assembling the varying pieces of client needs and legal requirements to create the best plan possible for a client’s future.

Jon assists high-net-worth individuals with preparing estate plans, wills, trusts and business succession plans. As a lifelong Midwesterner, he’s enthusiastic about focusing his work on clients in the farming industry and regularly assists with farm transfer plans, helping clients determine the best way to protect family businesses for future generations.

Known for his ready responsiveness and detail-oriented nature, Jon has also built a reputation for simply being easy to work with and gifted with people. He’s also known for his passion for his field: Jon is a self-described law nerd who enjoys reading case law in his spare time.

Outside the Office

Jon has three kids under age 10 who keep him very busy. The family enjoys board games and spending time with their three cats, and Jon also enjoys serving as assistant coach for his son’s baseball team.

Jon freely admits he’s also a law nerd who likes to read case law in his spare time.

Community Leadership

Jon is a member of Overland Park Masonic Lodge #436 where he frequently participates in volunteer work. He has been especially active with CASA, an organization that supports children in difficult family law situations, as well as NAMI, which is an advocacy group for family members of people diagnosed with mental illness.
