An experienced attorney, John assists ground, air and ocean transportation companies with a multitude of U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance matters, contracting and logistical matters. He also represents many carriers and shippers in proceedings before federal transportation agencies and in dealings with other industry companies. In addition, John counsels and defends a variety of clients in disputes involving federal and state procurement agencies, government auditors and government investigators.
John is a member of the Association of Transportation Law Professionals and a long-time advisory board member and contributor to The Government Contractor, a national weekly publication of Thomson Reuters covering legal aspects of federal procurement. He began his legal career in 1978 representing the U.S. Department of the Army in contract disputes and litigation before he entered private practice in 1984. John is a former Army JAG attorney and Marine Corps combat arms officer.
