Joey’s practice centers on finding practical solutions for client issues that arise in real estate transactions.

Joey maintains a varied transactional real estate practice, with particular emphasis on development and finance matters. He handles multiple aspects of real estate transactions and brings an understanding of the full life cycle of commercial development—from acquisition through financing and development to disposition. This diversity of experience helps him develop a complete picture of a client’s transaction, allowing him and the client to plan not just for the present, but for the future as well.

Clients turn to Joey for counsel in structuring complex real estate transactions across the country. A Denver native, he most enjoys the opportunity to work on transactions along Denver’s Front Range, but also has extensive experience with the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial properties across asset classes in areas around the country. A Fellow in both the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, Joey has established a national reputation. In addition, he currently serves on the governing council for the American Bar Association’s Real Property Trust and Estate Section and is the current chair of the Real Estate Section for the Colorado Bar Association.

Outside the Office

Joey likes to unwind by playing video games with his children.

One of the Lubinskis’ favorite ways to have fun together is by playing video games, during which fierce concentration alternates with shouts and laughter. Spectators often include a black Goldendoodle and the family rabbit.

Community Leadership

Service through professional memberships as well as service directly to the Denver community are Joey’s ways of expressing his gratitude.

Working actively through his positions in the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), Joey fosters communication among real estate lawyers in the greater Denver region and beyond. He supports ABA membership and continuing legal education, and chairs the real estate section of the CBA, providing oversight, leadership and guidance. Joey also assists city, county and private organizations.
