Joel brings management skills as well as litigation experience to the firm’s labor and employment group where he advises and represents clients on a wide range of employment-related matters. With his experience in management, Joel has the tools to motivate and lead employers toward best practices for their business.
Joel’s persuasive writing skills usually land him a win; he paints a detailed roadmap of the dispute, lays out the economy of the fight, and works diligently to achieve resolution. These skills have earned him the respect of colleagues and opponents alike and contribute to his strong client relationships.
Prior to joining the firm, Joel practiced in Austin, Texas as a commercial litigator representing clients in a wide variety of legal disputes in both state and federal court, including breach of contract, fraud, consumer lending, mortgage lending and servicing practices and construction law. Joel also advised healthcare clients on various regulatory and compliance issues.
Joel is also passionate about mentoring and has been actively involved as an advisor and committee member for Young Life, a nationwide youth ministry.
