Jessica finds practical solutions for both everyday and complex employment issues that clients face.
She works closely with clients to offer guidance on a wide range of investigation and compliance concerns, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Jessica provides research, analysis and counsel on matters including:
- Employment agreements
- Personnel policies
- Discipline/discharge decisions
- Severance agreements
- Leave and accommodation
Jessica believes that cost-effective preventative steps can avoid problems before they reach litigation, arbitration, mediation or agency investigation. She works with clients to establish proactive training and compliance measures on a broad array of issues such as discrimination, harassment and safety.
Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Julie Ann Robinson, U.S. District Court, District of Kansas.
