  • Assisted large health care system in navigating joint venture with insurance company and other health care systems.
  • Counseled dental practice acquisition and management organization on all operational and growth phases including human resources, financing, joint ventures, real estate portfolio management and 20+ practice acquisitions.
  • Advised numerous single- and multiple-shareholder provider-owned dental practices on 360-degree practice issues including acquisitions, real estate, hiring and shareholder matters.
  • Represented equity holders of medical coding business in $13.5 million sale to strategic acquirer.


  • Assisted two Wisconsin-domiciled insurance companies in all corporate aspects of their mutual holding company restructuring.
  • Assisted Delaware insurance company in $8.5 million purchase of Wisconsin insurance company.
  • Represented natural foods client in sale to financial company.
  • Negotiated several significant master service agreements related to development of new products for educational game development company.
  • Guided management equity holders through tax structuring of acquisition of private equity–financed enterprise by public company.


  • Served as outside general counsel to early-stage digital therapeutic company. Negotiated and implemented several equity and debt financing rounds, strategic commercial partner investment and commercial contracts; advised board on all governance matters.
  • Provided end-to-end representation to Madison-based biotechnology startup from first angel financing through multiple investment rounds and successful exit.
  • Represented corporate venture capital group in numerous seed and Series A-stage investments for portfolio companies in FinTech and InsureTech spaces.
  • Represented early-stage educational technology company in sale to private equity–backed strategic acquirer.
  • Represented Madison-based emerging software company in $5 million sale to established technology company.

Outside the Office

Jed treasures time with his wife and their three school-aged children.

Jed and his wife, Nora, enjoy the sports and activities of their active kids – Stella, Romeo and Apollo, including attending Stella’s softball games in Florida and Oklahoma. A beloved Goldendoodle, Tallulah, rounds out the family. Prior to starting his law career, Jed toured the country as a stage manager for musical theater and arts festivals.
