Overview

James serves clients in real estate development, ownership, leasing and acquisition and has assisted clients across a wide range of real estate transactions.

With a lifelong interest in real estate and real estate investment, James has transactional experience involving all types of income-producing real estate.

His real estate experience includes representation of borrowers and lenders in financing of improved and unimproved commercial real estate; representation of landlords and tenants in retail, office and industrial leasing; and representation of developers and real estate firms in connection with the construction, acquisition, disposition, financing, development and management of industrial, retail, office, multifamily, condominium and mixed-use projects, as well as raw land assets. James also has experience in private equity work and joint venture agreements.

James previously served as a realtor and real estate broker, and his years “on the ground” in the industry gave him an in-depth knowledge of real estate, development and construction. With an immediate grasp of a client’s priorities, James is known for his ability to zero in on the most important elements of any real estate transaction, ensuring that clients achieve their goals.

  • Representation of publicly traded REIT in ‎its acquisition of 200,000 square foot mixed-use shopping center in ‎Houston, Texas. ‎

Outside the Office

James enjoys hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He also enjoys traveling and college football and is a regular at the Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium during the fall, rooting for his alma mater, the University of Texas.

Community Leadership

James has volunteered his time and efforts to the Central Texas Food Bank, the largest hunger relief charity in Central Texas.
