Overview

Jake understands that someone’s livelihood is at the heart of every deal.

Before law school, Jake worked for a disruptive technology startup in the milling industry. The job provided him valuable insight into the business world. He learned that real-world consequences unfold with every deal, and the best deals deliver strong results for all involved.

Jake counsels entrepreneurs hoping to create companies from new products or services, helping them get their businesses up and running. He enjoys the energy of Chattanooga’s growing collaborative communities, focused on transportation and logistics. Working with innovators – those who question convention, and find new and better ways to get things done -- is what Jake values most about his practice.

More broadly, he works with clients of all sizes, advising them on contracts and governance as well as how to balance accelerating a business with the need to conform to pertinent law.

Prior to joining the firm, Jake clerked as a legal intern for Hon. Geoffrey Kiryabwire, Court of Appeal, Uganda.
