Deanna concentrates her work in toxic tort and product liability litigation matters.

Working on the firm’s innovative, awarding-winning Asbestos Litigation team, Deanna helps defend portfolios of any size or complexity. She’s an experienced paralegal supporting attorney teams and clients through all phases of the litigation process. She gathers key evidence for in-depth analysis by attorneys and medical experts during case preparation, using cost-effective technology for large volumes of data. In addition, Deanna assists in research on relevant state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to manufacturing, agriculture, biotechnology and other industries. She helps lawyers in preparation for hearings, trial, depositions and meetings. Routinely, Deanna prepares correspondence and legal documents. Primarily facilitating mass tort and product liability issues, she also has experience in supporting legal teams in a broad variety of matters and strategies including:

Experience
  • Coordinated legal team that resolved estate dispute involving lost will and residential property, thus restoring power for pro bono client who had been without electricity for nearly two months.
  • Assisted legal team that obtained summary judgment for healthcare services client in U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee, which ruled in favor of our client, interpreting contract obligating six affiliated entities to be joint and severally liable for debt incurred by an individual entity.

Deanna and her husband are runners, including of half-marathons. They also enjoy traveling, and a favored destination is Paris. At home, Deanna spoils her Pomeranian.
