With a gift for oral argument and the courtroom, Dawn represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters and assists with eDiscovery techniques.

Dawn was drawn to the courtroom from the beginning of her legal career: she knew she loved constructing and presenting arguments, negotiating with opposing counsel, and collaborating with team members to build compelling cases. Her first interest was criminal law, and she served in the prosecutor’s offices in both Platte and Clay County for more than 15 years, eventually supervising a staff of 12 prosecuting attorneys. Nearly every day found her in the courthouse, and she ended her time there in the position of Chief Assistant Prosecutor. In this role she handled the recruiting process for new attorneys, supervised multiple prosecutors and enjoyed prepping and presenting the grand jury cases. Dawn later transitioned to civil litigation and eDiscovery work before joining Husch Blackwell.

Today, Dawn assists with a variety of commercial litigation matters and is particularly well-versed in commercial lease negotiations. A member of the firm’s eDiscovery Solutions team, she helps clients create strategic discovery plans utilizing advanced technology. Alongside her extensive experience in eDiscovery for civil litigation, Dawn also draws on her time in criminal law, where she was well aware of the value of fully examining and gathering all possible evidence for a case.

With a passion for building arguments and advocating for clients, Dawn knows the court system inside and out. A persuasive and skilled negotiator, she has a gift for working with opposing counsel to facilitate positive outcomes early in the litigation process. Clients can trust Dawn to position them for the best result possible.
