David loves being on the cutting edge of innovation and diving in to develop a full understanding of clients’ products.
While David serves clients in a variety of industries, he has a special focus on the electronics and tech world. He has extensive experience with consumer electronics, electrical engineering and computing and software products and has also defended medical devices and advances in mechanical engineering. Previous cases have included semiconductor devices such as MOSFETS, solid-state storage, various software applications, dynamic random access memory, photovoltaic cells and chemical vapor deposition processes.
David began his legal career in patent application work and knows the ins and outs of patent prosecution well. However, he soon transitioned into intellectual property litigation, thanks to his talent for legal research and his gift for distilling complex ideas into simple arguments. David has defended clients with noninfringement and invalidity arguments in both state and federal court, on appeal and in inter partes review. He often manages the entire discovery process for cases.
David is known as thorough and always prepared, with a true ability to succinctly distill and explain case details, zeroing in on important facts. However, he’s most known and valued for his passion and excitement for clients’ work and his dedication to ensuring that their innovations are protected.
