Danielle advocates for employers, knowing that in labor & employment law, people are what drives business forward.

Having collaborated with clients of all sizes, in various industries – including healthcare, agribusiness, technology and transportation – Danielle is able to help employers navigate the ever-changing landscape of labor and employment law and avoid oft-cited pitfalls. She represents employers in state and federal courts, and before various state and federal agencies regarding a variety of claims and enforcement actions including those concerning:

  • Discrimination
  • Harassment
  • Retaliation
  • Wrongful termination
  • Failure to accommodate
  • Noncompetes and restrictive covenants
  • Wage and hour violations

Danielle also counsels employers on a variety of day-to-day compliance issues. She believes that adopting a proactive – not reactive – approach to human resources can be a cost-effective optimal approach. Regardless of whether clients are facing litigation or looking to mitigate risk, Danielle enjoys identifying best paths forward for each client in alignment with individual business goals.

Experience
  • Obtained finding of no probable cause of discrimination or violation before Missouri Commission on Human Rights on behalf of agribusiness client facing allegations of disability discrimination and retaliation.
  • Negotiated favorable mediation terms for telecommunication client facing sexual harassment and retaliation claims filed in state court.
  • Obtained dismissal of wrongful termination claim in state court at pleading stage for individual practitioner charged with discrimination.
  • Revised and updated multiple full-scope employment handbooks for clients.
  • Counseled numerous clients on operational issues such as overtime calculations.
  • Achieved victory for employer in jury trial for case regarding sexual harassment and retaliation allegations.
Outside the Office

Danielle enjoys being active outdoors and spending time with her loved ones and close friends.

She likes playing golf and tennis or hanging out at Table Rock Lake in Missouri. Danielle spends most of her personal time with family, friends and her lovable dog, a cocker spaniel named Finley. She also enjoys sampling the new craft breweries in the Springfield, Missouri, area.
