Chuck’s long-standing client relationships speak to his status as a trusted advisor on leasing, purchasing and developing commercial real estate.

Clients with a strong focus on retail turn to Chuck for his knowledge of all facets of real estate development. For more than 25 years, he has represented a multibillion-dollar outdoor sporting goods retailer with locations throughout the United States and Canada. The retailer has relied on Chuck and his vast experience in drafting and negotiating anchor tenant leases. He also is guiding this client as it expands into new ventures in the hospitality industry.

Chuck serves as outside counsel for a Nasdaq-listed auto parts retailer. He advises on the full spectrum of the company’s transactions, including mergers, acquisitions of existing auto parts store assets and stock purchases.

Chuck’s client-centered approach, strong work ethic, willingness to get into the weeds of a deal and ability to provide exceptional service in a timely and efficient manner prove to be invaluable assets to clients.

Outside the Office

Chuck shares a love of fishing with his wife and children on the rivers and streams around his home in southwest Missouri and on vacations.

He also enjoys kayaking and golf. Chuck earned a golf scholarship to the University of Missouri and at one point wanted to be a professional golfer. Losing to Phil Mickelson in the NCAA Tournament, he says, helped show him that his future was in the law – although he won the 1998 Missouri State Amateur championship.
