Catherine enjoys serving on the legal team that helps clients secure their ideas through patent prosecution.
A paralegal and registered patent agent, Catherine works with clients and attorneys to prepare and file domestic and international patent prosecution documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). She routinely researches and summarizes patent rules and procedures, collaborates with foreign and domestic agencies, coordinates domestic and foreign prosecution, and manages Information Disclosure Statement (IDS) submissions and foreign filings. She also works with drawing vendors to create and formalize images for submission to U.S. and foreign patent offices.
She’s mindful of using best practices across the board to assure client matters run smoothly and on deadline, and shares what she knows with clients. For instance, using the USPTO’s most current electronic processes and forms can save time and costs. She’s passionate about helping clients share their ideas, products and developments with the world.
