As a commercial litigator, Catherine guides clients in solving contentious disputes and complex insolvency matters.
Collaborating on the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets team, Catherine regularly represents global insurance companies, domestic lenders, mortgage servicers, large banks, healthcare lenders and suppliers, as well as local small businesses in state and federal courts. She handles claims of breach of contract, fraud, and negligence as well as issues surrounding the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) and Texas Insurance Code.
Catherine is also an advocate for clients on a broad range of insolvency and bankruptcy matters, representing both creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 and 7 bankruptcy cases. Catherine is trusted for enforcement assistance and creditors’ rights counsel, as well as negotiating restructures and workouts.
Catherine believes the first step in solving any dispute is identifying client objectives and providing practical options toward reaching those goals. She strives to serve as a business partner as well as a litigator, keeping operational targets in mind as she designs legal strategy for clients.
