Barb is a senior paralegal with the firm's Technology, Manufacturing & Technology group. She has more than 30 years of experience with sophisticated legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate, securities, regulatory, compliance and commercial transactions, and has worked with clients across a range of industries.
Barb’s knowledge and skills cover a broad range of general corporate matters, including those relating to nonprofit entities, organizational documents, equity issuance, corporate governance, general and commercial contracting, employment agreements, noncompete and nondisclosure agreements, reorganizations, dissolutions and liquidations, record retention policies, compliance matters and preparation of customer complaints and regulatory authority responses.
Barb has served as a vice president for a local registered agent service. She has a unique perspective of the role that a registered agent serves in assisting entities in maintaining their compliance with state/federal regulations, as well as acceptance of service of process.
In addition, Barb served as the vice president and corporate secretary for a local manufacturing company. She has direct officer/senior management experience, including managing patents and trademarks, assisting boards of directors on corporate governance matters, drafting board scripts and resolutions, providing perceptive business advice, interacting with shareholders and customers regarding concerns, and actively participating in marketing, sales and product development.
Barb collaborates with attorneys and clients’ internal and external advisors, including noncorporate attorneys, tax professionals and business teams, to implement legal and business strategies.
