Avi focuses his practice on workplace safety and health matters, litigation and appellate law.

He represents clients on OSHA, MSHA, CSB and other safety agency compliance, investigations, enforcement actions and appeals.

Avi has participated in the successful defense and settlement of penalty cases involving hundreds of citations and assisted clients in maintaining cooperative relationships with agencies while presenting a vigorous defense. He also represents national trade associations in rulemakings.

When workplace accidents or injuries occur, Avi and his colleagues provide rapid response legal counsel, coordinating client investigations, interacting with government agencies and preparing for potential litigation. He has handled investigations involving numerous serious and fatal accidents and assisted clients across industries, including manufacturing, retail, transportation, mining, insurance, aggregates, construction and healthcare.

Earlier in his career, Avi represented companies in major antitrust actions in federal district and appellate courts, helping his industrial clients recover overpayments caused by monopolies or price-fixing conspiracies.
