Ashley provides transactional work and tax advice to help clients achieve positive outcomes for their businesses.

Ashley is passionate about setting up employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) for clients. She views an ESOP as a win-win because it provides employees with an ownership interest in the company while allowing the owner to realize full fair market value using a plan subsidized by tax incentives. Ashley enjoys seeing the positive impact ESOPs have on the lives of sellers and employees alike.

Ashley also handles transactions such as asset purchases, stock purchases and ESOP redemptions. She performs due diligence in business acquisitions, reorganizations and divestitures and drafts ancillary documents in mergers and acquisitions.

In her tax practice, Ashley researches and advises clients on state and local tax issues and works on international tax issues involving withholding, compliance and reporting. She also takes on federal income taxation, entity formation, dissolution, partnership and limited liability company issues and issues affecting charitable and other tax-exempt organizations. Ashley believes her knowledge of tax law strengthens her transactional work for clients as well.
