Amrita serves on the litigation team defending complex cases involving intellectual property assets. Innovators appreciate Amrita’s strong technical background and her ability to efficiently analyze sophisticated issues and crucial aspects of the case – identifying the forest for the trees – to develop strategic legal arguments for clients. She has broad experience drafting due diligence opinions, infringement and validity studies, as well as inter partes review petitions in defense of client research, developments and innovations. She helps clients protect and enforce their intellectual property rights and defend against patent infringement claims and misappropriation in all forums.   • As part of larger legal team, represented software company defendant against patent infringement claims involving financial software for auto dealerships; assisted with multiple inter partes reviews (IPRs).
  • As part of larger trial team, represented respondent against patent infringement claims involving optoelectronic devices before U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).

IP Counsel

  • Provided counsel to entrepreneurs to protect property rights of inventions including advising clients on leveraging patents and other forms of intellectual property and on broad array of contractual matters.

Tech Engineering

  • Provisioned system environment for tenant administration in telecommunication systems by creating command line tool for database.
  • Reverse-engineered time-processing unit (TPU) microprocessor code for cabin pressure software for airline's specification requirements document.
  • Developed automatic regression tool for quick debug turnaround in data storage integration technology.
  • Identified factory process improvement for prototype testing, resulting in $2.2M savings.
  • Collaborated on design-in, power management chipset for smartphone.
Outside the Office

Amrita enjoys spending time outdoors with her kids.

Her family owns a resort home near Carlyle Lake, Illinois, so they spend time exploring the lake and doing a variety of outdoor recreational activities around the lake.
