Since joining the firm in 2016, Ally has focused her practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis on healthcare, toxic torts and financial services. Ally has experience in all steps of litigation. She has second-chaired a state bench trial, assisted in attaining cy pres distribution of settlement funds to a local charity and appealed an administrative review board’s decision to the judiciary. Her practice also includes managing day-to-day litigation, developing defense strategies, handling large discovery for complex-litigation, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, attending hearings, interviewing fact witnesses and drafting settlement agreements.
Ally’s experience in the healthcare industry includes the defense of controversies involving the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, as well as the defense of commercial claims, including contract disputes and business torts on behalf of pharmacies and pharmacy benefit managers. In her financial services practice, Ally has extensive experience reviewing insurance contracts, advising clients and co-counsel on the applicable coverage provided and advocating for clients to ensure they receive their entitled coverage. Ally’s work in toxic torts includes creating efficient, effective strategies in answering to complex, complicated discovery requests, and assisting local counsel in their pre-trial discovery and dispositive motions.
Ally has an active pro bono practice, primarily counseling individuals through the firm’s relationship with Grace Hill Settlement House, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and The Southern Illinois Prisoners’ Rights Program.
