Since joining the firm in 2005, Ali has helped numerous companies address the environmental issues surrounding business and property transactions by performing due-diligence reviews of environmental records, assisting with the transfer of required permits, evaluating liability for pre-existing contamination, and drafting purchase and sale contracts. Ali has also helped clients maintain compliance with permitting and reporting requirements under various state and federal environmental regulations. Additionally, she has prepared retention schedules for environmental records and assisted with Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) cost recovery and contribution actions, permit and enforcement defense, and other litigation.
As a member of the firm's Energy & Natural Resources team, Ali has experience advising companies in connection with mining and mineral extraction, regulated transmission projects, coal-fired power plants, and renewable and clean energy projects.
Ali also has experience in litigation matters. She was a volunteer fire fighter and currently practices law and lives in Boise, Idaho.
