Barbara has extensive experience assisting in all phases of commercial litigation.

Understanding the importance of detail at the start of litigation, Barbara works rigorously to manage the discovery process. She facilitates cases from initial investigation through large-scale document production, arbitrations, pretrial preparation and trial assistance. She works with various litigation databases and software.

Barbara coordinates single-plaintiff cases to large complex commercial litigation. She has provided assistance with numerous pharmacy malpractice cases in state and federal courts nationwide. She also assists legal teams in obtaining dismissals and dispositive rulings in cases involving claims that question the performance and safety of firearms and ammunition, including wrongful death cases.

  • Assisted legal team that prosecuted claim for misappropriation of trade secrets against Big Four accounting firm. After three-day preliminary injunction hearing, court entered broad injunctive relief in favor of client.
  • Supported attorneys who obtained complete defense verdict in particularly significant pharmacy benefit manager termination case.
  • Worked with legal team that achieved swift dismissal of Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) lawsuit against pharmacy benefit manager.
  • Helped attorneys who obtained favorable jury verdict for clients in three-week undue influence trial regarding $35 million estate.
  • Facilitated case in which legal team obtained summary judgment in nationwide putative class action filed against pharmacy client accused of initiating prerecorded calls to consumers in violation of Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
  • Assisted legal team that secured dismissal for major pharmacy benefit manager of lawsuit alleging liability for allowing and then billing more than $1.7 million.
  • Supported attorneys that secured defense verdict after week-long jury trial on behalf of Kansas City Southern Railway Company in case brought under Federal Employers' Liability Act.

Barbara loves outdoor recreation and supporting her children in sports.

Barbara’s son plays football and her daughter cheers so she’s always happy to support them at sporting events. She also enjoys outdoorsy activities such as camping, riding all-terrain vehicles and hunting.
