Abstract

Claiming that the importation of steel and aluminum endangers and threatens the American national security by undermining domestic production, President Trump signed earlier this year two executive orders that would impose a 25 percent tariff on imported steel and a 10 percent tariff on imported aluminum products under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.
