Husch Blackwell is pleased to welcome Lane Ruhland to the firm as senior counsel in its Madison office.

Ruhland brings significant experience in regulatory issues, election law, campaign finance compliance and legislative affairs to Husch Blackwell. She joins the firm’s Public Policy, Regulatory & Government Affairs practice and its Financial Services & Capital Markets group.

Ruhland comes to the firm from Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, and previously served as special counsel/deputy chief of staff to Wisconsin’s Attorney General, a post to which she was promoted after serving as the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s director of government affairs.

Ruhland earned her J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is the fifth attorney addition to Husch Blackwell’s Madison office in 2019, joining Wendy Arends, Bill White, Alyssa Samuel and JP Croake.
