Husch Blackwell Sanders partner Lara S. Dickey was recently named Chair of the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Committee of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. Husch Blackwell Sanders associate Kris Kappel became Vice-Chair of the same group.
Dickey focuses her practice on Intellectual Property and Technology & E-Commerce Law. She represents clients in a wide variety of chemical, biochemical, business method, mechanical and biological technologies including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and packaging, drug delivery systems, pet and animal foods and products, agricultural chemistry, nutritionals and nutriceuticals, and other chemical and biochemical compounds, compositions and processes. She also works in all phases of copyright, trademark and patent procurement. Dickey was Chair of the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Committee of the KCMBA two years ago.
Kappel focuses her practice on Intellectual Property, Entertainment & Media, and Technology & E-Commerce Law. She represents clients in mechanical, business method, biochemical, and chemical technologies. She also works in the areas of portfolio management and protection, copyright, patents, and licensing. She serves as a board member for the Niles Home for Children. Kappel is the outgoing Chair of the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Committee of the KCMBA.
