Program awards $43,500 in scholarships to LGBTQ+ students

Husch Blackwell is a lead sponsor of a new LGBTQ+ scholarship program launched by the Cream City Foundation, an organization dedicated to the advancement of the quality, dignity and health of LGBTQ+ people in southeastern Wisconsin. Totaling $43,500 and disbursed to 31 students in the Milwaukee area, the scholarships were awarded on September 26, 2016 during Cream City Foundation’s eighth-annual Business Equality Luncheon.

Husch Blackwell is joined by BMO Harris Bank as lead sponsor of the program. Other participating organizations include the Milwaukee Gay Sports Network, the Windhover Foundation and the Ramón and Marstellar Equality Fund.

Husch Blackwell has long maintained a commitment to providing equal access to post-secondary education. The firm has supported scholarship programs that assist minority students at Washington University in St. Louis, Saint Louis University, the University of Missouri-Columbia, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and the University of Kansas.
