Situation
A nationally recognized research university sought more than a dozen patents for the amplification of synthetic nucleic acid sequences. The inventive techniques avoid the need for thermal-stable enzymes and high temperatures. The resulting product has fewer errors and is more simply generated at room temperature.
Result
We drafted, filed and successfully prosecuted the patent applications. This provided the university with an extensive licensed patent portfolio that has delivered significant revenue for the university and for the inventors.
