Client Success

Situation

Several manufacturers of self-balancing scooters agreed to a voluntary recall of their products because of Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) concerns. When our client later decided not to participate in the recall, the CPSC demanded that it comply.

Result

Our team provided evidence about the safety of our client’s hoverboards, including documentation from the Chinese manufacturer, and challenged the accuracy of CPSC testing. The agency relented, and our client avoided a recall that its competitors did not.
