Husch Blackwell Sanders recently received the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City's Firm of the Year award. The firm was honored for its continued support of the organization. Three Husch Blackwell Sanders attorneys are currently on AWL's Board of Directors: Lara S. Dickey, Kimberly K. Gibbens and Amber F. Van Hauen. Dickey and Van Hauen will remain on the Board through 2010, while Gibbens will step down after five years of service. Husch Blackwell Sanders also hosts AWL's board meetings at the firm's Kansas City office.
Formed in 1976, AWL works to advance the role of women in the legal profession and currently has nearly 400 professional members. The Association provides networking opportunities and programs focused on professional growth for its members.
